Our Microsoft Word add-in supports almost all versions of Microsoft Office 365. Some licence types are incompatible. Versions older than Word 2016 are not supported.
Our add-in works with the following Microsoft licence types:
- Microsoft 365 (from version 2005, build 12827.20160)
Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based subscription model. This means that the Microsoft Office applications can be accessed as Software as a Service. There is no need to buy a CD for installation, for example.
- Microsoft Retail Perpetual (from Office 2016 Version 2005, Build 12827.20268)
Perpetual Licensing is when software is purchased for a one-off licence fee.
- Microsoft Volume-Licenced Perpetual (from Office 2021 Version 2005, Build 12827.20268)
Volume licensing is when several licences are purchased at once (e.g. 100 licences for the entire organisation).
